NOVOSENSE Analog and Mixed-Signal ICs

NOVOSENSE devices sit at several points in a control system: sensors measure current, position and pressure; isolation and interfaces carry signals across electrical boundaries; drivers and power ICs operate the switching stages and local supplies. These roles matter in vehicle powertrains, renewable-energy converters and industrial equipment.

Sensors, isolation and drive circuits

At the measurement point

Current, position and pressure sensors

Current sensors measure bus or phase current, magnetic devices track position, and pressure sensors capture another input. Range, bandwidth and output format must match the point being measured.

Across different boundaries

Isolation and communication interfaces

Digital isolators carry logic across a galvanic barrier; isolated amplifiers carry measurements. CAN, LIN and RS-485 transceivers connect controllers to physical buses. Isolation ratings and bus electrical limits are separate decisions.

Around the switching stage

Gate drive, supply and protection

Gate and motor drivers act on controller commands at the switching stage. Buck, LDO and flyback devices supply controller and driver rails; path-protection ICs handle faults. Match each role to the power stage and its fault response.

Inverters, chargers and industrial drives

Vehicle electronics

Vehicle inverters, charging and BMS

Traction inverters and onboard chargers combine current feedback, isolated drive and a power stage. Battery-management systems use measurement, communication and auxiliary power around the pack. The exact vehicle program sets qualification and circuit limits.

Converter control

Solar inverters and industrial drives

Solar inverters and industrial motor drives monitor current while a controller sets switching. Isolation, drivers and local supplies complete the control path; topology and thermal design determine the specific devices.
