It integrates Bluetooth 5.1 and uses the Intel-proprietary CNVio interface, which requires a compatible Intel 300-series or later chipset (Coffee Lake and newer). The module is part of the Intel Wireless 9000 Series (code name Jefferson Peak), supports Windows 10/11 64-bit and Linux, carries FIPS and FISMA certifications, operates from 0 °C to 50 °C, and is supplied as an M.2 Key E card at 3.3V. The 9461 was launched Q4'17 and is currently in production.
