2026 Price Increase Round-Up: TI, ST, Infineon, Renesas, Analog Devices Adjust Pricing
Starting Q2 2026, a fresh wave of price adjustment notices has reached distributors and OEMs. Texas Instruments (TI) communicated a 5–12% increase across analog and embedded processing products, citing rising gold wire, substrate costs and sustained demand from industrial automation. STMicroelectronics followed with a selective hike on STM32 MCUs, power MOSFETs and automotive ICs, effective April 20, 2026. Infineon raised prices for IGBT modules, CIPOS IPMs and high-voltage CoolMOS devices by 8–15% due to energy infrastructure and EV traction demand.
Renesas Electronics adjusted pricing for legacy MCUs, timing products and PMICs, while Analog Devices (ADI) issued targeted increases for precision data converters and high-reliability accelerometers. The common thread: wafer capacity reallocation to AI/data center chips, higher packaging costs, and prolonged lead times for 8-inch fabs. In May, NXP also announced 6–9% hikes on automotive microcontrollers and interface ICs, effective June 15, 2026.
| Vendor | Affected Categories | Increase Range | Effective Date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Texas Instruments | Analog (op-amps, PMIC, interface), MSP430, C2000 | 5% – 12% | April 2026 |
| STMicroelectronics | STM32, STM8, power MOSFETs, automotive ASICs | 6% – 10% | April 20, 2026 |
| Infineon | IGBT, CoolMOS, OptiMOS, CIPOS modules | 8% – 15% | May 1, 2026 |
| Renesas | RL78, RX MCUs, timing ICs, ISL PMICs | 5% – 9% | April 25, 2026 |
| Analog Devices | Precision ADC/DAC, MEMS, high-temp products | Up to 12% | May 15, 2026 |
| NXP Semiconductors | i.MX RT, S32K MCUs, CAN transceivers | 6% – 9% | June 15, 2026 |
Buyers should examine distributor backlog and consider securing life-buy inventory for EOL-sensitive products. Many of these price adjustments also reflect tightened allocation for 150mm and 200mm wafer production. Contract manufacturers are advised to revalidate BOM pricing and communicate lead-time exposure early.
